The BUS

Ryan rode the bus for the very first time yesterday. He was happy before he got on the bus. See the smiles!!! He was OK when he got on the bus too. Kind of excited. Then you see the last picture I took of him. He has that scared look in his face then. Broke my heart!!! He was not happy to see me leaving and letting him actually go.on.the.bus like that. Very emotional day. He pooped (nervous tummy), was non-compliant (says his teacher in a note) and took a nap on the way home (don't know for how long). He was super thirsty and hungry. I could tell that he was not happy with the situation.

I was also very proud of him. A few years ago they didn't think that he would live and he is now riding a bus by himself and dealing with it! He is so amazingly strong!!!!

Butterflies

Jasmine loves butterflies. Our new house has a few butterfly bushes around it. I took this picture during my corn grilling disaster. I got so distracted by this beauty that the husks caught on fire and we almost made popcorn instead of dinner. I am clear now on why they tell you to take all the husks off except for the very inner ones. GOT IT! Anyway, Jasmine is loving the butterflies. There are often many on one bush. They flutter and chase. Simply beautiful animals.

Sunset

This is the view every night after dinner from my new deck. It is amazing and calming. Makes me forget for a few minutes the mess of boxes inside my house. We are making some progress on our unpacking. I have been thinking of reasons to leave the house to avoid it but we are getting some things done.

Moving

We are in the process of moving. Haven't taken a single picture in over a week. Shame on me. This being in a hotel with kids by myself is not photo inspiring. Oh well. We are having fun (kind of) and will be in our new house tomorrow night for our first night. Then the unpacking begins. Booo Whooo. Not thinking that will be fun.

Hotel fun in Philadelphia

We went with Tim on his trip and looked at a few houses. I took out my camera and took a few pictures since we had some time to wait. I think they loook cute.

Big boy

My baby is not a baby anymore. When I saw this picture it made me realize that he is a little boy now. I am happy for him that he is growing and changing and happy and healthy but I will miss having a baby in the house.

Splashin' around

It rained the other day and the weather was nice and comfortable. Jasmine decided to show Finley about jumping in puddles. They had a blast getting each other's legs wet. These two are becoming quite good friends, when Jasmine notices him. They are funny together. Finley just loves her. He waites for her to get home from school and gets so excited to see her. It is sweet. He calls her "Yaya".

Summer fun

We have been playing outside alot this week. Finley is having a great time and I am loving my camera. Getting a good picture is easy when you have someone this cute to chase around.

Ryan's Viral Rash

Took another trip to the ped with Ryan today. He has yet another viral rash on his face. It was just in his mouth last week and now this. He is still having bruising and splotchy looking skin. Doctor suggested that I go see dermatology. They can see us in mid July. I have an appointment with hemotology on the 23rd of this month as a follow up for the bruising too. One way or the other we will get to the bottom of this.

Ryan Timothy

My sweet Ryan. His smile and bright blue eyes are intoxicating. He is so strong! All the things that have been thrown at him in his short life that he has overcome amaze me. He is by far the bravest person that I have ever met in my life. He makes my heart smile deep down inside.

Jasmine Dale

Jasmine, my sweet oldest child. With the most amazing spirit of busy-ness and spunk. Keeps me on my toes, this one. Smart in ways I never know you could be. Sweet in ways that suprise me.

Finley Jacob

My youngest son...with the most amazing blue eyes. And the sweetest personality. He is truly a gift from God.

My spotted boy ~ as in, like an egg

Finley woke up the other day covered in little pink and red spots. Isn't he just beautiful anyway!?! I took him to the doctor and they ordered blood work stat. Everything was fine. Just another funky virus. I am sure tired of those. He is happy otherwise.

Ryan's fun (not) birthday

Ryan was actually in the hospital on his birthday the poor little soul. You can tell by the pictures that he doesn't feel well. The staff was nice enough to sing him Happy Birthday and get him a few presents. That was sweet. The best gift was that he got to go home!!!
